In person customers enter their information at one of three marriage license kiosks by the public service counter, and the office asks that you arrive by 3:30 pm so the license is processed that day. You get the license once both parties complete the application and take the oath. There is also a video application option, Monday to Thursday 9:00 am to 12 pm, with the completed application uploaded at least 48 hours ahead; a license from a video appointment is mailed to you. If you need the license on the same day as your courthouse ceremony, arrive at least 30 minutes early. Certified copies are $2.50 each. Several of this metro's listed Alexandria venues are Fairfax County park sites with Alexandria addresses, but that does not affect the license, because a Virginia license from any clerk works anywhere in Virginia.
