Multnomah County Circuit Court "Judicial Availability for Weddings" sheet (updated 7.14.26): "ORS 106.120(4)(a) requires the payment of a $117 fee to the Multnomah County Circuit Court for all marriages performed in the courthouse. This fee must be paid prior to the wedding." For ceremonies outside regular court hours (5pm or after) the same sheet adds: "Per ORS 106.120(5), there is a fee, not to exceed $200.00 plus actual costs, payable to the judge."

'Appointments are not needed to get a marriage license.' Applications can be completed online in advance at multcomarriage.org. 'Both parties must be in our office, with a completed application, by 4pm in order to purchase a marriage license that day.' The license takes effect three days after the application is signed unless the $5 waiver is bought, then it is good for 60 days.
