The license is issued during the visit and the city states it must be used for a ceremony within 29 days after it is picked up. Two witnesses must sign the license and the officiant must return it within 15 days. The $12 certificate copy is mailed automatically once the license is recorded. Divorced applicants must wait at least 30 days from the date the divorce was finalized before applying. Unusually long counter hours: 8 am to 6 pm Monday to Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm Friday and 9 am to 1 pm Saturday, so a Saturday license pickup is possible here.
