Marriage licenses must be requested in person at the Plato Building, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., arriving at least half an hour before closing. Applicants must be at least 18. If one party cannot be present they must provide a notarized Supplemental Marriage License Application plus a completed, notarized Marriage License Application. The application is signed at the office window and the signature must be witnessed. Cash, check or money order payable to Ramsey County, and credit or debit cards are now accepted.
