The county states 'Permits are required for weddings on all St. Johns County managed beaches no matter how many people are in attendance.' Covers the St. Augustine Beach, Vilano, South Ponte Vedra, Crescent Beach and Butler Beach stretches. During sea turtle nesting season (May 1 - October 31) event items cannot be set up before 8AM or after 7:30PM, must stay 30 feet from marked nests, and artificial lighting is prohibited after 7:30pm. The permit does not waive beach entrance or pavilion rental fees.
